Spring Pinterest Inspirations: Tulle

That's it, guys. I'm feeling the spring vibes now! As much as I loved having winter (for what winter is in California), I'm ready to move onto spring. I want to feel that mellow warmth of the sun on my legs and the cool breeze as it gets closer to night time.

We all know spring is known for flowers. There is already floral prints in every store I have set foot in recently, but I am just so bored. We could do better than that. Its about time we reinvent the floral print, which brings me to today's pinterest inspiration post. I have taken a great LOVING to tulle lately and some great designers have done their way with adapting their fun patterns as apart of their dresses and designs. I am really feeling the ballerina in distress feel for this spring and I really hope you take some inspiration from this post to adapt this style into your own wardrobe!

I know a lot of people are thrown aback at tulle because it is know for a)prom dresses b)childrens attire or c)wedding dresses. Since when do we let that dictate what we like and how we should wear it? No fabric should be left for certain events. It is just fabric after all. With that being said, free the tulle! You will definitely be seeing me in tulle this spring and I hope you will too!

Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo Review

Today I bring you a review for Lush's No Drought Dry Shampoo Powder! As shown in my previous healthy hair post, I mentioned using dry shampoo in between washes and as a volumizer. After doing quite a bit of research, I came across Lush's dry shampoo and decided to give it ago.

There are quite a few things I measure when I try dry shampoos. There is the cost/amount of what you are getting, how it feels in your hair, and how effective it is under different circumstances.

Cost: The cost of the product overall is very comparable to other dry shampoos in the market. Although there is an increasing popularity in easy spray bottles, don't let the loose powder bottle throw you off. You get quite a bit more product this way and seems it lasts you longer as well. For a 1.9oz bottle it is $6.95USD and for the larger 4.6oz bottle it is $13.95. I luckily got mine during the BOGO free sale they had going on so I managed to pick myself up two smaller bottles for the price of one, so be sure to look for that!

Texture: The texture of this powder is quite thick and sticky, which seems a bit strange to hear at first, but it does leave a powdery feeling on your hands after application that isn't quite comfortable. Depending on how you apply this, it can really leave your hair feeling even more dirty than it started out. Being so thick, you have to be really sparing and let it sit in your hair before you brush it out so it can fully absorb the oils. Also, the color of the product makes it a bit harder to work with for people with darker or colored hair.

Effectiveness: I have tested this for over a month now to try to get a really good review out of this. I initially decided to try this out after my workouts since I didn't want to wash my hair every day, so I went and tested that out first. So long as it wasnt immediately after my workout and some sweat has dried, this product worked great! I was able to go about my day and feel confident that my hair not only looked great, but it smelled great.

Now came the day-to-day test. I decided to try this out on my second day hair when the oils finally start building excess. Over all it was just okay. Not completely impressed but it did do the job, although it felt quite thick trying to make sure the entirety of my roots were coated. On the third day hair, it came apart completely. My hair still felt thick from the day before and adding more only made my hair look and feel gross.

Overall, I give this product a 7.5/10. It isn't the best, but for the price, this can really be worth the money.

My Workout Playlist

I feel like I'm a little late on the whole "healthy new years resolution" thing since I've basically been on a very slow and painful journey on doing so for the past two years. I know there is a stereotype for women in that they only ever do cardio and for the most part, I feel like this is very true, but I actually enjoy doing it. Now, I don't do it for the entirety of my workout, but it does take up about 50% of the time I dedicate to fitness. With that being said, let's talk about what keeps me going.

I feel like the biggest incentive for anyone of course is the end result. The "how am I going to look like if I stick with this" body. Or maybe it is just the feeling of being alive and awake. Heck it may even be both, like it is for me... but the real  problem is how you are able to stick with it. That's where material incentives come in. I like to reward myself for consistency and progress whether that means eating that big juicy burger or some maybe new kicks. No matter what, these incentives make your journey to fitness fun and mentally rewarding.

Now, I don't know about you but the top 40 hits does not cut it for my workouts. It is both a mixture of overplayed junk and songs that aren't even your style, which is why I like to create my own playlists. I don't normally listen to dubstep/electronica on my spare time but, man, if there is any type of music that gets me going, it's this stuff. Nothing is worse than really getting into your workout and then hearing "Big Girls Don't Cry" come on. Buzz kill. So, I took the time to compile a few of my favorite songs onto a playlist for you guys.

I hope you guys enjoy it and let me know what you guys think!
