Polka Dots!

I've been super into patterns lately and I wanted to really dress the part! I busted out the bright accessories and BAM! Went on my day. I didn't have to do much today, just some errands at the store but after I made my way to Justins house because its so dang weird not seeing him after being with him 24/7 for two weeks!!

To the Bay!

Since I have a terrible habit of blogging about things days after they happen, I kind of figured why stop now? (haha...) I had planned for awhile to visit my brother in his new apartment up in northern California for the past couple weeks. He had just moved from San Francisco to this spacious apartment just 40 minutes east of his old place and it is beautiful! Having visited him before while he lived in the city, I was just overwhelmed with the amount of things you have to remember just to not get fined (parking is a real pooper). That and we just aren't city people so we were like, "Let's get the heck out of here."

So here I am today! I put my big girl pants on today and drove for the first time to another city! I was definitely nervous, but I had my super encouraging boyfriend with me to calm me down and help me get there!

When we arrived to the city, my brother was still in work so we decided to kill some time and EAT EAT EAT! We were both starving and found the nearest Five Guys and munched! It was so beautiful to see everything turn from desert to beautiful green forestry! That and it was a whopping 20 degrees cooler here.

Once my brother finally arrives (4 hours later might I add ;P ) we all settle in and unpack since we are going to stay there for quite awhile. We met up with the neighbors Samantha and Randall and had a pig out with pizza and that concluded the first night! I'm pretty stoked being here and I want to visit SF soon enough!

The view from the balcony with Justin!

Chop Chop!

A couple of days ago I decided I was done having long hair! There was a time in my life where all I wanted was to grow my hair as long as I could but I noticed myself trimming whenever I had the chance, so I realized I might as well just cut it off. I simply wasn't a long hair kind of girl. I've had short hair for my entire life other then the 4 years I attended high school so I figured I might as well stick to my roots, right?

I cut it shoulder length and dyed it a red-brown (even though I probably could have done another inch and a more vivid red) and I immediately fell in love! It was like a weight off my shoulders had been lifted, literally! I can move my head much more freely and I can do cute hairstyles as well!

And from the back. I added a cute bow cause why not?

Ruby Reds

I finally got myself some bright red oxfords! ^~^ I love how much of a statement piece these shoes are to all my outfits. Theyre also super comfortable too so thats a plus! These are the Ollio Ballet Flat Loafers from Amazon! You can purchase them here. They also come with lots of different colors for you fun kids.

The only cons with these are that when you receive them, they smell absolutely horrible. If you leave them out over night they should be significantly better the next morning though! They also stop smelling the more you wear them. :)

Beasty Barbecue

My extremely lucky sister was able to get a job with amazon a couple days ago which means she has to move to Seattle asap! My family and I decided the best time to visit her would probably be now (aka two days ago), since she is leaving the 9th and we probably won't be able to see her for quite some time until she settled down. So, with that, our family friend Tim flew up to see us and take us on his plane for a quick journey up to the bay area. With that we all brought our necessities and took off to go see them!

Some cute pictures of my mother and I preparing for the flight! And a pretty sky picture.

My dad is also a pilot himself, so I take it they both enjoyed flying together quite a bit...

Once we got to my siblings apartment, we all decided to have a huge barbecue in the center field area of their apartment and they all brought a couple friends to help us feast (there was a whole lot of food, my gosh).

^ My sister there to the left. (I don't have any good pictures unfortunately of us together ),: )

After that we all said our goodbye and wished my sister luck on her journey! I hope to see her soon again. :)
